Nebraska Conference on Health Equity
April 26 - 27, 2022
In the Spring of 2020, MHDI was able to foster a new and exciting partnership with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services’ (NE DHHS) Office of Health Disparities and Health Equity (OHDHE). This collaboration between MHDI and OHDHE led to the formation of the first Nebraska Conference on Health Equity (NECHE), with the 2021 events focusing broadly on the social determinants of health at the intersection of COVID-19.
The Nebraska Conference on Health Equity is a conference that brings together organizations, researchers, and thinkers in Nebraska and beyond to share strategies and resources for accelerating the shift in community engagement, clinical enterprises, and research toward health equity. It is a call to action on health equity and health disparities that exist in historically excluded populations in the state of Nebraska and beyond. Presenters review local, regional, and national disparity data, share important tools and community resources, and provide strategies to improve awareness and outcomes. Conference attendees have the opportunity to learn about, and strategize with experts, ways to improve health outcomes for underserved communities in Nebraska.
This year's conference will be held on April 26-27, 2022, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm CT at the NIC Conference Center in Lincoln, NE and live-streamed via Zoom. The event will explore the ways that community connections and connectedness build healthier communities in Nebraska. Please click the buttons below to subscribe for more information.
