CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATION ABSTRACTS
The University of Nebraska’s Minority Health Disparities Initiative invites scholars and practitioners to submit an abstract for a poster presentation for the annual 2024 Minority Health Disparities Health Equity Conference on February 23, 2024, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Innovation Campus. The Poster Session will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Abstracts from research and/or practice-oriented projects or presentations that provide theoretical frameworks from undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, government organizations, and community members or organizations are welcome. Topics should ideally relate to health disparities and health equity among minoritized, marginalized, and vulnerable populations. Abstracts with a particular focus on thriving, resilience, and coping as they relate to experiences of discrimination and/or life stressors are strongly encouraged.
The goal of the Poster Session is to provide a format to showcase a multitude of projects in health equity research that features brief presentations allowing for more personal conversation and discussion. Those selected to participate will receive more information about formats and presentations as we near the conference. We highly encourage undergraduate and graduate student submissions.
Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, December 1, 2023. Please complete the submission form below. Email any questions to mhdi@unl.edu and in the subject line include "MHDI Conference Abstract Submission.” Presenters will be notified of acceptance by Monday, December 11, 2023. All presenters are expected to register for the conference. All accepted abstracts will be included in the conference program.
